Catesby Jones has been writing and performing his original songs for fifty years. He’s a veteran of the fabled New York College Coffeehouse Circuit and has been a vital part of the music communities in a dozen cities and the Virgin Islands. A five-year stint as a Nashville Staff Writer garnered several major label cuts, most notably Travis Tritt’s multi-platinum, breakout hit, “Country Club” and a title track, “Read My Licks” with Chet Atkins. In 1993, Catesby and Mimi moved to Wilmington N.C. to care for his parents and raise Eliza and Mac by the sea.

He has released 13 self-produced CDs, 7 Archival CDs, and is working on a fifty-year retrospective thumb drive. Mimi and Catesby bought a second home in Dayton, NV to help raise Alice, their first grandchild. After the COVID Pandemic, he began playing writer’s nights in Virginia City, Reno, and Carson City. With a wide variety of compositions from folk to blues, rock to country, and songs reminiscent of the singer-songwriter era, you are guaranteed an enjoyable listening experience.
